In accordance with our phased approach to expanding across the Washington, DC metropolitan area, we’ve opened a new branch in Navy Yard located at 20 M ST SE, Washington, DC 20003. Access to the branch can be found on the street level of M ST SE on the west corner of the building facing M Street. Our administrative offices have also relocated to Navy Yard from the Reeves Center to align with the District’s plan to redevelop the Frank D. Reeves Center of Municipal Affairs (Reeves Center).
The waterside Navy Yard district is known for the Nationals Park baseball stadium, and nearby eateries and gardens. Nautical history, from the American revolution to the present day, is recorded at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy at the historic 1800s Washington Navy Yard. Along the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, The Yards Park has a riverside boardwalk and an event space for summer concerts.
Mayor Muriel Bowser and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development announced the selection of Reeves CMC Venture to redevelop the Frank D. Reeves Center of Municipal Affairs (Reeves Center) site. The project will deliver a hotel, a permanent home and headquarters for the National Association for Advancement of Color People (NAACP), municipal office space, and much-needed affordable and market-rate housing to the U Street Corridor. The project will also continue to honor the legacy to icons such as Frank D. Reeves and Mayor Marion Barry and preserve the legacy of Black Broadway. CSG Urban Partners, a resident, woman, and minority-owned business will lead the redevelopment. To date, this is one of the largest EquityRFP’s awarded by the District.

Phase 1 (Complete)
November 30th marked the end of Phase 1 with the closing and merging of the Municipal Branch with the Reeves Center Branch.
Phase 2 (Complete)
Navy Yard Branch located at 20 M ST SE, Street Level, Washington, DC 20003 opened on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Reeves Branch located at 2000 14th ST NW, 2nd Floor, Washington, DC 20009 permanently closed Friday, June 7, 2024.
Phase 3 (Complete)
The relocation of our administrative offices on Tuesday, August 13th marked the completion of Phase 3.
