The Municipal Branch closed on November 30th and is no longer offering in-branch service.

As mentioned during the Annual Membership Meeting in October, in-branch services are discontinued at the Municipal Branch as of November 30, 2023. This is part of DC Credit Union’s phased approach in our strategy to expand access to financial services across the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Learn more about our phased approach to expanding across the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area

Our goal is to always put the members of DC Credit Union first. At the helm of that promise is our focus on providing access to financial services wherever our members may be (learn more about Who We Are).

That’s why, in order to deliver on this promise, we’ve taken a phased approach to expand across the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area. This expansion will help more members with their banking needs closer to the communities in which they live and work. See the first steps of our implementation strategy below.

Phase 1

November 30th will mark the end of Phase 1 with the closing and merging of the Municipal Branch with the Reeves Center Branch.

Phase 2

In Q2 of 2024, DC Credit Union expects to open a new branch. Date and location of this new branch will be disclosed as plans are finalized.

Phase 3

Our expansion strategy will continue with our administrative offices also moving to the new location in Q4 of 2024.
